Founded in June 2020, by Alexis Akarolo and Zelnnetta Clark, Rebuildtheblock is rebuilding our communities and fostering small business growth one block at a time.

Our Mission
Rebuildtheblock is an organization that serves as a community liaison that bridges Black entrepreneurs with reputable resources to infiltrate generational wealth and capital in the Black community. Rebuildtheblock directly addresses the need for accessible, financial, and social capital to improve the conditions of Black entrepreneurship and by extension, the communities that they impact. Research, advocacy, and service are at the forefront of our mission. Our organization is committed to the investment in the development and expansion of Black business ownership and entrepreneurship through mission-driven programming and access to financial gains.

Focus on Inclusion & Diversity
Historically, the Black community has been exempt from educational, financial, and social prosperities. Our organization serves as a bridge of resources in aid of our advancement as a community. As a non-profit organization, our duties include providing outreach and resources to the community and serving as a host to redistribute wealth and knowledge.
