• Share their vision for the business and aim to create the conditions for their interns to achieve results through clear direction).

Community Bridge Intern Supervisor

We understand the everyday operations of running a business can get in the way of new ideas. By participating in the Community Bridge Internship, you can finally put those ideas to the test with the support of your intern. With the help of Rebuildtheblock’s program supervisor we’ll craft schedules, objectives, and tasks to help you get started.

       By the end of your Internship, businesses will have achieved the following objectives:




• EXPAND TALENT POOL TO INCORPORATE COLLEGE AND/OR RECENT GRADUATES
• MAXIMIZE PRODUCTIVITY AND MAGNIFY TRAINING STYLES TO INCREASE EMPLOYMENT RETENTION RATES
• PROVIDE VALUABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH STUDENTS AND EMPLOYER
• OFFSET TIME AND EXPENSES IN RECRUITMENT EFFORTS
• CAPITALIZE ON OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND ON EXPERIENTIAL PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES
• CREATE PATHWAY FOR PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH COLLEGIATE UNIVERSITIES AND POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES

Why Host An Intern?

AS THE PROVIDER OF A FOR-CREDIT INTERNSHIP, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO ANSWER SPECIFIC QUESTIONS, OUTLINE DUTIES, OR OVERSEE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER FOR THE STUDENT TO QUALIFY FOR CREDIT HOURS.


• The business must identify as Black-Owned

• The host employer must be an established, legitimate business

• The experience must be the extension of the classroom, providing for the application of knowledge gained in the classroom.

• There must be supervision by a professional with expertise and an educational and/or professional background in the field of the experience.

• The host employer must possess resources, equipment and/or facilities that support learning objectives and goals.

• The host employer must possess a company intranet or virtual workspace on a server, or an online project management or document sharing tool (such as Office 365, Google Docs, or a similar program.)
